My love for writing started with my parents’ and siblings’ obsession with digests and novels, of course. Since high school, I have read books, and the idea of writing itself, let alone writing a book, has put me in awe.
In college, I had some free time to myself that I spent reading books. I thought to myself that whatever happens in life, no matter what choice I make in life, reading and writing are something I can’t separate from myself.
I did my bachelor’s in science. I loved psychology and learning about mental health. However, when it was time to choose my master’s program, I went with English Literature. (I know, I know.)
Literature opened up so many doors to beautiful cities of books to me that I was absolutely humbled. Great writing, legendary authors, and their lives. Beautiful stories, depiction of history through fiction.
This phase in my life taught me a lot.
This is also when I started doing freelance writing. Initially, I was a generic writer; I wrote for local magazines (personal pieces), I wrote about politics, mental health, and psychology.
However, I wanted to be a specific writer about one specific niche. It was a way to put my focus on one thing that I could be professional and informed about from beginning to end.
Coffee was a wild choice.
I love books, candles, and coffee. If I were going to be a professional writer, Coffee was the obvious choice.
Since 2020, I have been a freelance coffee writer, who writes for Coffee brands while also growing my knowledge about coffee every day.
I hope you liked reading about me.
